Continuous Update Project
The WCRF global network is committed to interpreting scientific evidence in this field and in order to keep the evidence current and updated into the future, WCRF/AICR is undertaking the Continuous Update Project in collaboration with a team lead by Dr Teresa Norat at Imperial College London (ICL).
The Continuous Update Project is an ongoing project that builds on the work of the Expert Report. Following the same principles as the Expert Report, the team at Imperial College London collates the evidence and a panel of experts reviews this to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
The goals of the Continuous Update Project are to:
- Provide the scientific community with comprehensive and up-to-date evidence related to food, nutrition, physical activity, and weight management, and cancer.
- Become a trusted source used by scientists, health professionals and policy makers.
- Ensure WCRF/AICR education resources for the general public are based on the most up to date evidence.
Publications to date include:
- A report and summary on the updated evidence for breast cancer
- Peer reviewed protocols for breast, prostate and bowel
