Official relations status with the World Health Organization achieved

Our cancer prevention expertise is recognised at the highest policy level

The World Health Organization’s (WHO) Executive Board has confirmed that World Cancer Research Fund International has been granted official relations status with the WHO in its Resolution EB138.R8.

The new status means that World Cancer Research Fund International has been acknowledged as a key player and trusted advisor at the highest level of global public health and cements our reputation as the world’s leading authority on the link between diet, weight, physical activity and the prevention of cancer.

Kate Allen, Executive Director of Science and Public Affairs said: “We are delighted to have been recognised by the WHO for our long-standing expertise in the area of cancer prevention. We look forward to working collaboratively to support the WHO in its public health promoting activities to enable individuals to make healthy choices, and reduce their risk of developing a preventable cancer”.
